Darryl Novotny, a graduate of the University of Toronto Physiotherapy program (2002), takes great care in assisting patients back to their optimal level of performance. With a combination of manual therapy, active conditioning and patient education of injuries, Darryl is confident that clients can achieve their health and wellness goals. As a former personal trainer (1997 – 2010) and graduate of the UWO Kinesiology program (1998), he also strongly believes that fitness and nutrition play a valuable role in recovery from injuries. This is consistent with recent evidence that “exercise is medicine” – Darryl’s vision includes the development of a gym devoted entirely to developing programs for individuals for the sole purpose of improving the state of their health and mitigating the effects of aging.
Reference: Time Magazine (Sept. 12/2016) “The Exercise Cure”: Doctors, researchers, scientists – even ancient philosophers – have long claimed exercise works like a miracle drug. Now they have proof.
