Collingwood Orthopaedic Sport Institute offers custom orthotics to help reduce and prevent pain, while promoting optimal function of your body.  General orthotics are optimal for anyone with foot pain while sport orthotics are more appropriate for skiers, hikers, bikers, & runners.

We provide an in-depth biomechanical gait analysis looking at your complete gait cycle through the entire kinetic chain. The custom foot orthotic is a medical device designed to realign your foot to control foot motion, and redirect and reduce stress to your body which mechanically allows for better performance.

How do you know if you need orthotics?  You may need an orthotic if you are experiencing/have any:

  • foot pain
  • bunions, hammer toes
  • arch or heel pain
  • leg or knee pain
  • hip, back, or even neck pain
  • difficulty running
  • decrease in athletic performance

If you feel that orthotics may alleviate your symptoms or if you are due for a new pair, contact the clinic for an appointment with our Certified Pedorthist Dean Woodcock, or visit http://www.simcoemobility.com
