Originally from Brazil but calling Canada home, Roger has spent the last 11 years at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) in the Emergency and Fracture Clinic, supporting patients with orthopaedic injuries. He is an expert in the application, adjustment and removal of casts, splints and traction fittings.

Prior to coming to Collingwood full time, Roger worked at North York General Hospital in the ER and Fracture Clinic there.

Roger has been involved in helping physicians, residents and other health care professionals in rural parts of Ontario develop their skills through ROMP (Rural Ontario Medical Program). This program helps to alleviate the challenge of practicing in remote areas that don’t have the support of more populated regions.

Roger is also on the faculty of “Casted”, an Orthopaedic Course for ER/Family Doctors and Residents that supports practitioners and technologists in enhancing their skills in Emergency, Fracture and Primary Care.
