Molly O'Rourke, Physiotherapist

Meet Molly B. O'Rourke

Physiotherapist

Molly has been a physiotherapist for over 24 years. She spent a good part of her career working as the director at a slope-side clinic in a ski area in Colorado. During the winter, she primarily treated acute skiing and snowboarding injuries. During the summer, she treated primarily mountain biking injuries and post-operative orthopaedic conditions for all levels of recreational and professional athletes. More recently, she worked with university athletes and students at Oregon State University, in Corvallis, Oregon.

She has worked in nearly every physiotherapy setting from sports and orthopaedic clinics to hospitals, nursing facilities, and homes both in Canada and the United States. She has worked alongside surgeons, coaches, sports medicine physicians, chiropractors, emergency room physicians, nurses, massage therapists, naturopathic physicians, and nearly every medical specialty you can imagine.

Molly challenges herself to be fully engaged during each patient session so that she can facilitate individualized and personalized care that helps every person achieve their unique goals. She is an advocate for her profession and recently earned a degree in education so that she can share some of what she has learned during her clinical career with future clinical physiotherapists.

Molly was born in Michigan and much of her family is from South Bruce Peninsula, near Wiarton. She continues to spend much of her time there. Molly is married and has two children and a dog named “Tiny”. Molly and her husband, CD, have chosen to live in Collingwood because of the four-season outdoor lifestyle, friendly people, and beautiful scenery. When not in the clinic you can find Molly hiking, fishing, biking, or visiting with her family and friends.
